Inaugural annual award offered by the Eden Arts Trust to students from the 4 Central Auckland art schools - Elam, Unitec, AUT and Whitecliffe. Presenting 6 of the best student works from each school in a first-of-its-kind competition, the 24 works will be exhibited at this year's host institution Elam and judged by a judging panel of arts writer John Daly-Peoples, gallerist Kate Mullins and new Artspace director Caterina Riva. Eden Arts offers a total of $8,000 in prize money, consisting of $5,000 to the overall winner and $1,000 each to three highly commended entries. The exhibition is open for public viewing (closed Sunday).
