Aksamba Intro-Course

Come and join us! At the workshop, you’ll be introduced to basic playing techniques, get the chance to try out each instrument, and learn to play Brazilian-inspired rhythms and breaks, all taught by experienced AKSamba members. Whether you’re looking for a brief introduction to samba percussion or are interested in joining AKSamba*, we invite you to come along for the guaranteed fun! No prior musical experience is needed and we’ll supply all the instruments.

Because of elevated noise levels, our workshops are not open to under 16s and are not suitable for pregnant women.

*Because spaces in AKSamba are limited, unfortunately taking a course does not guarantee you a spot in the group.

We have two workshops coming up: you can choose to take one or both of them (prices shown below are per workshop). The teachers are likely to be different for each one and the tunes we teach may also be different.

Cost: $75 including pizza lunch (vegetarians catered for) / $70 without lunch
