About the DJs

- JStar (UK):

UK legend JStar is heading down to NZ for a three week New Zealand wide tour, to celebrate the up and coming release of JStar's latest album 'Dub Zealand'.

JStar is well known for his versatile 'cool' sound, with club sets that push the boundaries and incorporate elements of dubstep, house, hip hop, DnB, dancehall and mashups. Most well known for his chart topping remix of 'No Diggity' along with over 40 other charted hits. JStar's intense tour schedule sees him regularly playing all over the world.

JStar has struck gold worldwide with his blends of dubstep remixes, reggae instrumentals & hip-hop a capellas released on limited 7 inches and is credited with inspiring countless other mashup releases. They've found their way into the bags and sets of every DJ worth their salt including Grandmaster Flash, Norman Jay, Francois K and the late great John Peel!

This year JStar will be bringing along the skills of MC Honey Brown, who compliments the diverse musical sets JStar plays by adding an extra live element.

Recent work includes:
- A DJ Vadim krunk/dubstep remix,
- JStar just had a track on the new Sola Rosa remix CD,
- Two remix tracks on the forthcoming Black Seeds remix CD/ Download LP,
- A reggae hip hop mix with live strings for Tenor Fly

- Matty T (Auckland):

Award winning DJ, and producer Matty T has been rocking club nights, events and festivals around New Zealand for the last four years. Supporting the likes of Ian Carey, Marco Demark, JStar and Brazilbeat Sound System just to name a few.

His high energy performances coupled with an experienced eye for reading the crowd, and artful mixing technique mean that Matty T is guaranteed to impress. Matt's diverse and abundant music style ranges from house, progressive and tech house through to electro, old school and everything in between, he skilfully fuses together a style appealing to the masses and the underground alike.

As well as his residency, and regular 'Get Funkd' club night at Auckland's number 1 hotspot "Be" club, Matt has made a move to the world of radio on George FM working alongside the likes of Sam Hill, Tim Phinn, Rich Cary and Grant Marshall. On top of all this Matt is also currently completing a DJ and Electronic Music Production course and the New Zealand Institute of Music (MAINZ) studying under Recloose and DJ Philippa.

Influences include: Laidback Luke, Afrojack, Swedish House Mafia, Armand Van Helden, The Good Guys, Deadmau5, Axwell, A-Trak, Don Diablo, Avicii and more.
