What would you do if you found your wife in bed with an Emperor Penguin?

"A gripping tale of magical realism" - Dominion Post

Award-winning theatre piece Heat brings its own alternative energy to power an original love story between a woman, a man and a penguin.

Antarctica: Husband and wife scientific team hunker down inside a tightly packed survival capsule, wintering over in the vast frozen continent accompanied only by web-cam, sporadic radio contact and a colony of male penguins.

"Powerful...provocative and moving" - Theatreview

Returning to Wellington after an acclaimed national tour, Heat is a world first. Unlike other conventional theatre shows Heat powers completely off-grid by sustainable means. This unique Spacewise energy installation, designed by Ebbett Automation Ltd, is on site at the theatre!

Playwright Liynda Chanwai-Earle is shortlisted for the Bruce Mason Award 2010.

Sound Design/Composition by Antarctic Fellow Gareth Farr.
Featuring Kate Prior, Simon Vincent and Byron Coll.
Commissioned by Circa Tehatre and STAB at Bats.
Heat contains adult content and full male nudity.

Presented by Ice Floe Productions.
