A great event for all levels of fitness from the top level runner/walker to the more casual walker.
The finish line is an event in itself with food, music and all kinds of liquid refreshments for thirsty participants and cheering supporters. A great family day out from the serious athlete and their support crew to the family cheering on the ones who have made a New Years resolution to get fit.
This event has some fantastic prizes on offer, including: pamper packs and meals at the best venues the island can offer; 5000 Flybuys points to be given away to lucky competitors; and a grand prize of 2500 Flybuys points as a grand prize that anyone can enter, spectators and competitors alike and available from the Matiatia finish line only.
This is a fundraiser for local charities and sports teams. This event is part of the Waiheke Wharf to Wharf Fun Run / Walk, which is comprised of four courses of differing lengths. For more details go to www.wharf2wharf.co.nz.
