Malcolm McNeill and Monica Louis with multi talented guitarist Kevin Watson.
Malcolm McNeill has long been considered one of New Zealand's finest jazz singers. For over 30 years his unique artistry and intelligent approach have earned him the enthusiastic and loyal following of aficionados both in his own country and around the world.
Monica Louise has worked in Europe with her own trio as well as performing as guest singer with bands like Swing Society (part of Dutch Swing College) and the Dutch TV Big Band, The Metropole Orchestra. Winning a national TV competition opened the doors to a theatre tour with Pia Beck and performances in Europe with the Glenn Miller Orchestra.
Kevin Watson was a studio musician based in Wellington for many years and he has recorded with Malcolm, with Dame Kiri Te Kanawa and many other New Zealand performers and orchestras. He has toured and recorded with Midge Marsden for several years before relocating to the Hawkes Bay.
Swinging the Blues is a date with Malcolm, Monica & Kevin, an intimate interpretation of a timeless and international songbook where swing and jazz meets the blues… By three unique top artists.
