Ruth is a guitarist and songwriter. She draws on American roots music to frame her lyrics and demonstrate her strengths as a guitarist, songwriter and vocalist.

Ruth has toured throughout the US, UK, New Zealand, Kuwait, Bermuda and France as a solo guitarist and singer. She has won numerous awards for guitar and songwriting, including The Gamble Rogers Fingerstyle Guitar Competition, Hank Williams Songwriting, South Florida Songwriting Competition.

In addition to being a spirited performer, Ruth is also skilled educator. She owns and operates the Carolinian Studio/Music School in Kitty Hawk, NC where she teaches guitar, voice, song writing and music theory. She holds a degree in Music Theory and Composition from Stockton College. In April 2010 Ruth was invited to Kuwait by the US Embassy to perform her show “A Journey Down An American Music Highway”.
