Te Whatukura will enthral you as they unwrap the mysteries of kapa haka in A Beginner's Guide, before delighting you with a sneak peek of their entry in the prestigious Te Matatini competition.

Kapa means 'to stand in a row' and haka means 'to dance'. Te Matatini means 'many faces' and Te Matatini o te Ra National Festival is hotly contested by regional winners from throughout Aotearoa/NZ and Australia.

Nelson's own Te Whatukura Team has represented Te Tau Ihu o te Waka a Maui (Top of the South Island) at every National Festival since the year 2000 and are current Regional Champions.
