Negra Li, 'the diva' of Brazilian R&B is coming to New Zealand. She'll be touring at NZ (Auckland) and Australia (Brisbane, Sydney & Gold Coast) and is the singer responsible for writing a new chapter in the history of Brazilian music. Negra Li discovered her voice singing hymns of the church she attended with her mother and childhood games. Despite the very difficult childhood, she learned to turn the difficulties into fuel for your career and in 2003, Negra Li signed a contract with a multinational record label (Universal Music), becoming the first Brazilian singer from hip hop to accomplish this feat.
She has just recorded the hit 'Beautiful' along with singer AKON, giving a big step towards consolidation of her name in the music nationally and internationally. Currently the song is among the most listened to throughout Brazil her live performance is just unique.
Also joining the party is Junior Dread, another big name of the Brazilian reggae music. Junior Dread learned from a young age to turn the difficulties in opportunities, and from his father inherited the gift for music, which soon became his main ally.
Inspired by the hypnotic rhythm of reggae & dancehall, always seeking the meaning of that powerful music that echoed inside his soul, he taught himself to speak and write in English inspired lyrics about their daily life difficulties and their faith in a better world.
He started touring the country performing in festivals, clubs and raves in a format originally created in '70s Jamaica named Sound System in which the singer appears at the side of a DJ (Selectah) producing a live sound creating a psychedelic and engaging atmosphere. Over the last 2 years he has been performing in many countries.
