Auckland Anniversary Weekend Fireworks

Bigger and better than ever, the 2011 Auckland Anniversary weekend fireworks display is choreographed by the world renowned pyrotechnics company Howard and Sons. They have just come off the back of producing the spectacular pyro display for the Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games Closing ceremony. Expect to be wowed!

The fireworks display will be fired from the harbour off Princes and Queen's wharves and will be visible from many vantage points around the harbour area on Sunday evening. It's a "pyro-musical" display with live broadcast of the sound track on Classic Hits 97.4.

The 15 minute pyrotechnic show starts at 9.30 and will be started from Queens wharf by the lucky winner of the Tip Top competition to win a year's free ice cream. The competition winner will be assisted by Mayor Len Brown.
