‘Beat Out the Boogie’, toe-tapping from beginning to end, contains Jan Preston’s trademark original boogie and ragtime and confirms her reputation as a magnetic live performer, brilliant piano player, singer, and communicator.
The show includes Jan’s astonishing versions of the Bumble Boogie, Big Ben Boogie, Black and White Rag, as well as her own songs and a ravishing boogie version of Beethoven’s Fur Elise. Winner of 7 music awards, Jan plays festivals and concerts throughout Australia, NZ, and Europe, tours other shows such as ‘The Life and Music of Winifred Atwell’, and writes music for films.
