Come and watch Dunedin Derby's very first live bout. The Gallow Lasses are taking on the Otautahi Allstars, the South Island's first ever inter-league bout.

Full thrills and spills and booty blocks, Roller Derby combines attitude with athleticism, producing a highly entertaining game where girls skate shoulder to shoulder round a flat track for 1 hour, divided into 2 minute jams.

Opposing teams field 5 skaters during each jam, a jammer and 4 blockers, it is the jammers' job to score points by passing opposing blockers scoring a max of 4 points on each pass, the blockers are there to provide assistance to their own jammer and block the opposing jammer and team.

You are guaranteed to see hip checks, fishnets, whips and maybe a power jam or two!
