Come see the Bach Choir of Wellington, directed by Stephen Rowley, perform the perennial holiday favourite: the oratorio Messiah by George Frideric Handel. The choir will be accompanied by the Chiesa Ensemble; will feature soloists Amelia Ryman, Megan Hurnard, Thomas Atkins, and David Morriss; and be supported by Douglas Mews, city organist, on continuo. The performance will combine contrapunctal grace with some of the most famous and familiar music ever written; it will be enjoyed by old and young alike. Come along to the concert!
