DUBJB Music and George FM are proud to present The Roots Festival, a selection of the finest live roots acts performing in a seven-hour musical extravaganza. Set at the majestic Auckland Town Hall, this brand new festival brings together both established and on-the-rise Kiwi talent in an iconic venue.

Headlining The Roots Festival is legendary roots reggae band House of Shem, crowd pleasers 1814, up and coming international band Darky Roots (Aus) and well-respected pioneers in the game, Cornerstone Roots.

Three other popular bands who share the same love of the roots reggae genre are The Midnights, Dead Fools Fiesta and Tui Sound System, who are all ready to take their unique style of upbeat music to the big stage.

Popular DJs the Sweet Mix Kids and George FM’s always entertaining Thane Kirby will be spinning only the funkiest of tunes throughout the evening. Expat Kiwi and experimental hip hop-jazz DJ, Amin Payne (Melb), will be creating vibes in his live set, while Grassmouth will likewise provide music for the soul.
