Fragmented Somatics involves several artists from different backgrounds who have shifted to New Zealand at different stages of their life. The show approaches the idea of body-mind integration: Thinking about one's role in and adaptation to the new location, as opposed to their place of origin.
These artists all share a similar perspective regarding ways of adaptation to their new environment, yet they respond to it in very diverse ways through their art practice.
