Fun and fabulous, Footnote Dance brings a slice of Kiwiana to contemporary dance and gives new rhythm to the quintessential jandal as they take the long way around New Zealand via Hamilton to dance at a REAL New Zealand Festival event near you.
Rugby, tui, wiri, pavlovas, the silver fern, Len Lye, Michael Parmenter, buzzy bees, mountains, picnics, BBQs and Colin McCahon all get a movement makeover by some of our best contemporary dancers in this light-hearted look at just what makes us special “down under”.
Music by Kiwi bands The Black Seeds, The Phoenix Foundation, Eden Mulholland, Chris Knox and The Flight of the Conchords sets the stage for New Zealand’s own Footnote Dance to Roll Out the Red Carpet for you!
The performance will be held at Karanga Plaza in the Wynyard Quarter.
