The Frontier Touring Company and Roundhouse Entertainment are thrilled to announce the return of Grammy Award winning Train this January and February for headline shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland in support of their latest album, Save Me San Francisco.
Formed in 1994 in San Francisco and taking inspiration from their serene Californian surroundings, Train have a more than impressive back catalogue of hits and heart-warming tunes to perform - their live act is emotive and exciting with an intimate feel that leaves audiences smiling.
The band, comprised of Pat Monahan (vocals), Jimmy Stafford (guitar) and Scott Underwood (drums) will perform songs from their latest offering Save Me San Francisco which includes the Number One hit single ‘Hey, Soul Sister’ and the unforgettable ‘If It’s Love’ as well as tracks from their much loved and Grammy Award nominated album Drops of Jupiter.
‘Hey, Soul Sister’ has become Train’s most popular song to date; on the ARIA Chart it held the #1 position for four weeks and reached the #2 spot in New Zealand’s RIANZ chart. Incredibly ‘Hey, Soul Sister’ also reached #1 in sixteen other countries.
Catch Train as they embark on a tour that will celebrate the blues and folk-infused rock that made the band famous. As front man Monahan explains, the album is “about love in every way you can think about it.”
Critics agree that Train have rediscovered their past and created something that captures the essence of the band’s early days. “With Save Me, San Francisco, Train is finally ‘back on track’: it is easily their best release since their masterpiece, Drops of Jupiter.” -Rock and Roll Report
