In celebration of the Chinese New Year and Lantern festival, the New Zealand Chinese Cultural Salon Inc. Society presents to you the Wugang Youth Performing Art Group, with thanks to major sponsor Master Travel Group Limited.
Gorgeous. Beautiful. Delightful.
A spectacular evening of Chinese culture and dance performed by the Wugang (Hubei Province, China) Youth Performing Art Group (WGYPAG). Since its inception in 1982, the WGYPAG has performed over 3,000 shows in China and abroad, winning many national and international prestige awards and receiving rave reviews.
From the first program to the last, whether it’s the colourful, symbolic Spring Festival dance, the bamboo flute with its melodious and lucid tones, or the powerful dynamic rhythmic dance performances, it promises to be superb and stunning. The show brings to life classical - contemporary Chinese dance and music in a gloriously colourful display with gorgeously costumed dancers moving in stunning patterns.
“We’re thrilled to be able to bring a performance of this calibre to the Auckland community,” says Angela Xu, Chairperson of the NZCCS. “The show promises to be as educational, inspiring as it is entertaining, and celebrates Chinese culture in its fullest flower.”
