Muka Youth Prints started in 1986 when Magda Van Gils, working at Muka lithographic studio in Auckland, invited well-known artists to produce original lithographs exclusively for children and young people and make them available at a pocket money price. During the exhibition names of the artists are kept covered: only young people aged 5 to 18 (inclusive) can see the exhibition and buy works.
Admission to this exhibition is included with entry to the museum.
