Gumbo came together in 2005 to perform two series of gigs at Speights Alehouses at Albany and Mt Eden. Since then they have performed at Waiheke Jazzy Sundays and at several private functions.

Gumbo are: Jack Craw (harmonica, vocal), Neil Finlay (guitar, vocal), John Wilcox (piano), Glyn Frewin (bass), and Owen Kneebone (drums).
