The 2011 Adam Chamber Music Festival kicks off with a dazzling evening of music, fine food and wine in a magical setting, and a gourmet dinner interspersed with musical courses for your gustatory and auditory delectation. Meet acclaimed festival artists James Campbell, Hiroshi Ikematsu, the Hermitage Trio and the New Zealand String Quartet, and enjoy musical selections from the 18th-century charm of Boccherini to the warm swing of Alan Gilliland’s jazz.
Repertoire will be drawn from:
Weber: Clarinet Quintet in B-flat, Beethoven: String Trio in E flat major Op 3, Rossini: Duo for Cello & Bass, Gilliland: Suite from the Sound, John Rimmer: Patterns in the Sand (world premiere).
