The Topp Twins Summer Hoe-down

The Topp Twins are thrilled to be performing with the legendary Hamilton County Bluegrass Band, fiddler extraordinaire Marian Burns, Best Female Artist 2010 Country Music Awards, Tami Neilson and young rising star, perhaps our next Keith Urban, Cameron Luxton.

Gates Open 4.30pm, first act on stage 6.00pm, performance concludes 10.00pm.

Last year’s Topp Twins Tour with Don McGlashan was a sell-out and reminded audiences that while they may be better known as their comedy characters, the twins are also “seriously good singer-songwriters” (Edinburgh Herald). This summer the Twins return to Ascension with their very special guests!

Country music is now officially hip, according to the recent national press, but of course Lynda and Jools have known this for years. Unashamedly proud of their country roots, the twins have decided to have a party and asked some of their favourite artists to perform with them for what promises to be the hoe-down of the year.

Favorite Topp Twins’ characters will make an appearance of course, as it wouldn’t be a Topp Twins show without them. But audiences will get to hear the Topps like you haven’t heard them before. This will be the summer concert of fun even non-country-music lovers will love.

Parking - on site parking for disabled guests only. Free shuttle buses will operate continuously from outside Mahurangi College and Omaha Beach Surf Club (stopping at Matakana School) from 4:00pm and for the duration of the event. Our neighbours will be offering parking for around $5 if you prefer.

Food & beverage - A full bar will operate, no BYO alcohol or glass. You can bring a picnic - some food vendors will be on site also.

Blankets and low chairs are preferred for seating so that every guest has a great view.

This is a 'rain or shine' event - this is NZ, come prepared for all weather! All bars are cash only - EFTPOS cash out will be available.
