The Bay of Plenty’s original seafood festival returns for another fantastic culinary and cultural event in historical Maketu on a magical seaside venue. The event; a celebration of people, culture, entertainment, fine wines and food has continued to grow in popularity and is unique in its situation and cultural significance.
The entertainment highlight of the festival will be "Wild Wahine" featuring one of New Zealand's most loved performers Tina Cross as well as local bands "Left-Hand Break" and "Azuair".
Cooking demonstrations by Peter Blakeway and Virginia Iovine-Turner will add to the culinary flavour of the festival with another world famous chef rumoured to be calling in.
Visitors from outside the region experience an event which is a taste of real New Zealand supported by real New Zealanders working to support local community groups.
