Genealogy (or family history research) is one of the fastest growing hobbies in the world. Once considered a pastime for retired folk, TV programmes such as Who Do You Think You Are? have sparked interest among people of all ages. Then there is the internet - many once distant archival records are now accessible online for little or no cost.

However, many people have no idea how, or where, to begin their research and that is where this session will help. There will be an audio-visual presentation aimed at getting you started on your family history research. The session will cover:

• The types of records that are available,
• Where the records are located,
• How the records may be accessed,
• Information contained in the records.
