The North Shore Hospice presents the art exhibition "Our World Today" from 12-24 February, 2011.
Saturday 12 February 5-7pm - The artists will speak briefly about themselves and their artwork.

Currently we are students at Media Design School completing Diploma of Graphic Design. We are passionate about the art and have a strong focus on industry live projects.

We plan to do this exhibition for a chance to see what types of art people are interested in at this present time. Showing a variety of work, and seeing the public's response, will allow us to adapt or build upon our work and ideas. This may possibly present us with an opportunity to create custom pieces if desired by any of the people viewing our work.

Showcasing our work is something that we are quite excited about, as it will be the first time we exhibit our work in a gallery and that to, to an audience other than our self or family. The experience itself would help us grow and mature as an artist, which is something we are looking forward to. Exhibiting our work is something that we take very personally like any artist as the paintings we produce are a part of who we are. It is going to be a challenge for us as it would be a step out of comfort zone as we venture out into new territory as a junior artist and graphic designer.

Through this exhibition we hope to get a small amount of recognition and just let people know who we are. We hope to have successful student art exhibition for charity fundraising. To be able to donate in any way possible, (in our case, through the art auction) is a great privilege for us to be a part of, as we know the money would be going to a good and worthy cause. To help the Hospice charity would mean so much to us on a personal level.
