Originally from the South of France near the French Riviera spawned the life and career of DJ VanDeBelle. These early roots and cultural backdrops have proved to be quite influential in his music. Growing up on a diet of French house, European techno, Funk and '80s music; DJ VanDeBelle started his career in 1985 by DJing for weddings and private parties. A few years later he landed his first residency at a night club called "Taxi de Nuit" near Lambesc playing '80s and dance music. Afterwhich "Club 88" became his second residency until his departure from France.
In November 1993 VanDeBelle arrived on the shores of America. Tucson in Arizona became the sight of his destination. While being a student of the University of Arizona, FGI Productions began booking VanDeBelle for University campus parties.
Then in 1995 Cool Mix Productions signed VanDeBelle and allowed him the freedom to showcase his knowledge of European dance music.
In the mid '90s the underground music culture was relatively new in Tucson. Fortunately, DJ VanDeBelle's pioneering movement was noticed by a visionary local night club called "The Cage". In 1998 "The Cage" changed his name to "DV8" naming VanDeBelle their resident DJ.
As the dance scene in Tucson expanded, so did the notoriety of VanDeBelle. In September 2000, Knothole Productions (based in Carmel, California) picked up VanDeBelle's contract and began booking him for massive raves such as "Airport 3" in Austin, Texas etc... Shortly thereafter, Surreal Entertainment (based in Tucson) signed him, culminating in desert raves such as "EarthDance", "Reflections" etc...
In 2003, DJ VanDeBelle whom was still involved with the Arizona rave scene, left club "DV8" for "City Limits" night club and became their new resident DJ. During that same period he also held a residency at "IBT".
August 2004, VanDeBelle left America for New Zealand. He began working for a radio station called "UPFM" in Auckland where he hosted his show "Euro-Groove". During that period he landed several gigs throughout the city and beach parties.
In 2006, VanDeBelle became the resident DJ of "Bungalow 8" on the Auckland Viaduct where every weekend he mixed Lounge music, deep, funky and commercial house. Two years later he obtained a new residency at "Carpark" (Viaduct).
Through his career, VanDeBelle has always paid homage to his roots in Southern France, crediting DJ Pierre and Dimitri as major influences.
VanDeBelle has shared main stages with the like of Crystal Method, John Bishop, DJ Dan, Christopher Lawrence, Delerium, Thomas Trouble, Nicholas Bennison, Conjure One, Micro, DJ Enrie, Dyloot & Tom Slick, DJ Keoki, Max Graham, etc...
DJ VanDeBelle seeks to further the message of love through music: "I like to surprise them..."
