Enjoy a nice relaxed day of exploration taking in some of the most unique aspects of the Marlborough wine region.
10am collection from Seymour Square bus stop and depart through to the stunning Omaka Aviation Heritage centre. Best described as a movie set rather than a museum this state of the art complex is the largest private collection of World War 1 aircraft and memorabilia anywhere in the world. A collection brought to life in amazing displays created by Weta Workshops.
Following Omaka it's time to see a different side of Marlborough history with a visit to Auntsfield Estate, the site of Marlborough's very first vineyard and wine cellar dating back to 1873. A chance to see the old cellar built into the hillside, and of course a chance to visit the brand new cellar door for a tasting of the range of superb wines.
After a morning of touring its time for a great lunch at the Drylands winery restaurant, (lunch at own cost from the extensive daily menu).
Onwards for a fabulous mixture of tastings with boutique wines, Prenzel schnapps, Marlborough olive oils, divine fresh fruits and finish with a sweet treat at Makana chocolates. An afternoon of wonderful foodie tastings and Marlborough wines.
4.00pm Arrive back at Seymour Square bus stop.
Booking fee of $2 applies to ticket sales. Pricing includes guided tour at Omaka, tour and tasting at Auntsfield, tastings for the afternoon and all transport. * Alternative collections and drop offs can be arranged around Blenheim and the wine region by contacting Marlborough Travel. Likewise drop off at Blenheim airport after lunch or at a time suitable to you.
Tour will operate based on a minimum of 10 people.
