It’s Chinese New Year and Auckland Choral brings you a free event showcasing highlights of the year. This inspirational and varied one-hour concert features something for everyone: the spine-tingling opening chorus from Carmina Burana, ‘Spring’ from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and well-known music by Fauré and Mozart.
A truly multicultural experience when we are joined by the Music Association of Auckland. Internationally renowned choral composer, David Hamilton conducts his Me he korokoro tui, a mix of Maori and English, contemporary and traditional. It speaks of being united together in song and refers to the tui, New Zealand’s most musical song-bird.
Complete a balmy summer evening out with a visit to the Chinese Lantern Festival in nearby Albert Park!
