Diwali Festival of Lights is proud to present It Takes a Village by Indiance, a spectacular dance drama brought to you with the magic of Bollywood.
It Takes a Village is a classic Bollywood tale of the underdog trying to overcome what seems to be impossible. If he is to achieve this he will need guidance and determination. Does he have the power to succeed?
Indiance is New Zealand’s original Bollywood dance school. Since 2005 Indiance has presented four highly successful shows including last season’s Bollywood Express.
It Takes a Village returns after popular demand as a theatre extravaganza of over 100 dancers, comedy and romance, and all the colour and culture of Bollywood - fantastic for the whole family to enjoy.
Diwali Festival of lights is one of Auckland’s best loved festivals, and will be held on the following days after It Takes a Village on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 October at the Aotea Centre, THE EDGE.
Diwali, is an ancient Hindu festival that symbolises the triumph of light over darkness and the renewal of life.
