A programme overflowing with Christmas spirit. Traditional carols and seasonal orchestral works to share with friends and family and celebrate the festive season.
A glorious celebration of Christmas: three baroque works, conducted and introduced by baroque specialist and APO Principal Guest Conductor Roy Goodman. The joyous chorus of Bach's Christmas Cantata BWV63 sets the scene for Corelli's Concerto Grosso for sting ensemble and Scarlatti's beautiful Christmas Cantata featuring Penelope Mills.
The second half of the programme focuses on much-loved festive tunes sung by The Graduate Choir. As the last notes fade away on 'Silent Night', reflect with quiet peacefulness on the deep meaning of the season.
