The Manawatu Standard Christmas in The Square; market, parade, concert/carols and children's activities: all things festive will be happening in the Square in Palmerston North City on December 3rd (postponement date December 4th).
The morning will kick off with The Country Road Market and Red Cross Christmas Fair, where you can shop for original local hand-made gifts, and fresh produce for the Christmas table. In the afternoon the Palmerston North Christmas parade, "Powered by the People" will weave its way around The Square. Good news! Entry for community groups and schools is free. Holiday stage entertainment and Christmas activities for the children will begin late afternoon and take us into the evening, watch the lighting of the Christmas Tree, and rock and sing the evening away with entertainment and carols. It's going to be a day packed with Christmas Spirit and festivities. Mark it down on your calendar now. Free take home bus service after the concert and carols. 9.30pm Palmerston North city, Ashhurst and Feilding.
