A surprising variety of birds have been recorded in Cornwall Park. Your guide Ornithological Society member Michael Taylor will introduce you to birds that live in or visit the Park.

- Guided Farm Walk - Wednesday 12th October
Morning 10am-12pm

Farm Manager Peter Maxwell leads a ramble through the Cornwall Park Farm, uniquely situated in Central Auckland. The farm has a large flock of Perendale and Texel Cross ewes and lambs, Gotland sheep and a herd of Simmental cattle. Enjoy this rare opportunity to learn all about the farming activities at the Park.

- Guided Tree Walk - Wednesday 19th October
Morning 10am-12pm

The Park contains a wide range of New Zealand natives and many exotic trees. Some plantings date back over 100 years, with a number of grand specimens throughout the Park. Your expert tree guide is Ewen Cameron, Curator of Botany at the Auckland War Memorial Museum.

- Guided Cornwall Hospital Walk - Thursday 27th October
Morning 10am-12pm

The 39th U.S. Army General Hospital was built at Cornwall Park during World War Two, for the American wounded in the Pacific conflict. It later served as Cornwall Hospital following the war and was in use for many years until the 1970s. Guide Noel Herries, civil engineer, will describe the hospital site and its eventual return to park-land.
