New Zealand’s premier lifestyle and entertainment show - Big Boys Toys is back.
Many of the perennial favourites from past Big Boys Toys shows are back such as the Tui Backyard and Action Arena, as well as a dynamic entertainment schedule and showcase of the latest products and services from the automotive, motorcycle, marine, lifestyle and consumer electronics industries.
The hugely popular Tui Public House will overlook the Action Arena, with top live acts, comedians and of course on tap, the iconic Mangatainoka brew. There are three halls of exhibits, covering a huge range and variety of products and services from the zany and crazy to the new and overwhelming.
Big Boys Toys has an amazing timetable of entertainment designed to thrill and excite people of all ages. The Action Arena will feature the countries biggest names in wakeboarding, FMX, BMX, stunt cars, stunt bikes and strongmen.
2011 action sports internet sensation Jed Mildon will be back in New Zealand for his first appearance since successfully landing the world’s first triple back flip on a BMX in May this year. Since this time, he has had over 8 million people view his history-making leap on YouTube, has been invited to the X Games and made appearances in the USA and Australia. He brings with him fellow Kiwi BMX sensation Paul Langlands and Australian legend Dane Searles.
Drift King Carl Ruiterman, will present New Zealand’s first Gymhkana car at the show. He has been working on the Subaru WRX STI for past year and a half and will make the first public appearance in his Ken Block style Gymkhana car at Big Boys Toys.
There’s plenty for motorcycle lovers at this year’s event; New Zealand’s top selling motorcycle brand, Suzuki will showcase their new 2012 motorcycle range. Can Am will be there with their stunning ATV’s and roadsters, and there will be an amazing display of air-brushed motorcycles.
XBOX 360 will be showcasing their biggest and most anticipated titles all in one place including Forza Motorsport 4, Sports Kinect 2, Dance Central2 and the smash-hit arcade game Fruit Ninja!
There are huge interactive opportunities in and around the event, from the National Excavator Champ to helicopter rides in the Logan Campbell car park, cool custom cars, trucks, million dollar vehicles, boats, hot rods, bikes and a ton of merchandise on offer.
The North Shore Aero Club will be exhibiting, offering you an opportunity to ask questions about how you can become a pilot and enjoy the freedom of flight. At the show will be one of the aircraft used for training so you can sit in the aircraft and get the feel of the controls whilst a highly experienced and friendly instructor can answer your questions.
The ‘Girls Village' will be the place for ladies to have a bit of time out and receive some well deserved pampering, while their guys can go and drool over the muscle cars and attractions!
In 2011 Big Boys Toys is proudly supporting men’s health awareness through Movember and will be running moustache competitions as part of the event.
