The GreatPlate Exhibiton and Auction - 100 artists—100 plates.
The GreatPlate exhibition is the annual fundraiser for the Quarry Arts Centre. 100 talented artists are given a bisque-fired ceramic plate which they can interact with however they like, some treating it like a canvas others modelling it into a sculptural object. The only rule is that the plate must stay in some kind of sellable form. The artists then donate these amazing works of art to the Quarry which go on show in the gallery and are auctioned off on trademe.co.nz.
