Jam Tse Dhargyey Ling Trust – the Tibetan Buddhist Centre in Whangarei, is pleased to announce a nationwide tour of the Chenrezig Sand Mandala for world peace and compassion. Local Tibetan Buddhist monks Ven. Geshe Jamyang Sherab and Ven. Karma Gyasey will begin the 7 Mandala tour at the newly built Yvonne Rust Gallery at the Quarry Arts Centre on Wednesday 17th August, culminating in Queenstown in December.

Members of the public are invited, and most welcome to come along and view this extra-ordinary construction, as the Mandala takes shape with the placement of each grain of sand.

Opening Ceremony: Wednesday 17th August @ 5:30pm
Closing Ceremony: Sunday 28th August @ 10am
Daily viewing: 9am to 4.30m (monks do take breaks for tea and lunch!)
