'Operation Hero' Challenge Day

Do you have what it takes to be a hero?

To celebrate the launch of the new local action adventure series ‘Operation Hero’ on TV2, the makers of the show challenge YOU to be part of the action at Te Papa on Saturday 20th August, 1pm-3pm.

Hosted by Dayna Vawdrey and featuring players from the Operation Hero TV show, you could:

Abseil through the middle of Te Papa!
Compete in a scavenger hunt, solve puzzles and send a coded message!
Check out the monster 6-wheel drive Pinzgauer trucks!

There are prizes to be won (including a Helipro tour of the city!) and sneak peeks of the TV show to be seen on the big screen. The challenges are ideal for those aged between 9 and 13 years old, but the event will suit the entire family.

Operation Hero is a brand new action-adventure series on TV2 where children tackle challenges inspired by the amazing achievements of real-life Kiwi heroes.

Each episode features a nail-biting true hero story and two huge challenges involving teams of 12-year-olds. The players face a raft of obstacles as if they were in the hero’s shoes. Can the players pull together and complete the challenge? Can they beat the clock? Will they outsmart their rival team to reach the finish victorious?

Operation Hero is made by Wellington production company The Gibson Group for TV2, with funding from NZ On Air and support from the NZ Defence Force and OperationHQ.co.nz.
