Gridlok:
One of the most influential American artists in drum and bass. In 2006, a year after the seminal collaboration album "Welcome to Violence" with Hive, Keaton, and Echo, Gridlok’s debut album “Break the System” solidified his dynamic sound into the vanguards of drum and bass. Considered one of the best producers in the genre, Gridlok’s music disturbs and excites dance floors across the globe. Since his start in 1999, he has released tracks with some of the most respected labels in drum and bass, including RAM, Shogun Audio, C.I.A., Violence Recordings, and Renegade Hardware.
His studio prowess has found him doing remix work for some of the brightest stars in electronic music such as Sasha, Josh Wink, Ed Rush & Optical, Mampi Swift, and Pop Will Eat Itself. An artist not only limited to consistently releasing chart-topping dance singles, Gridlok’s other noteworthy accomplishments include his work with Konami for their massive “Dance Dance Revolution” franchise, and his Grammy-nominated collaboration with AK1200 “Autopsy”, which was up for Best Electronic Album in 2008.
Throughout all of this, Gridlok has maintained a relentless touring schedule taking him everywhere from Russia to Australia, delivering a vibe that is undeniable to all those that dare to strap in for the ride. Since his most recent album: Void, he has dropped massive singles on some of the biggest labels in the game such as "Jitters" with The Upbeats on RAM and "Tru Born Playaz" with Prolix featuring MC Fats on Tru Playaz.
TREi:
With a passport full of stamps, scorching hot exclusive selections and the technical skills to match, TREi is one of the leading lights of the New Zealand drum and bass scene. Internationally known as both a producer and a DJ, over the last seven years, TREi has made his mark, both at home and abroad, particularly across Europe, where he is fast becoming a favourite for those who know.
Based in Wellington, New Zealand, TREi's seamless mixing and anthemic productions have seen him linked to some of the finest d&b record labels, club nights, DJs and producers on the planet. With the likes of Samurai Music, Commercial Suicide, Shogun Ltd, Uprising Recordings, Concord Dawn, Andy C, Klute, Friction and Black Sun Empire in the mix, in 2011, his presence is impossible to ignore.
With his musical roots lying in guitar, TREi recently dusted off the six-string to play as part of fellow New Zealand d&b icons The Upbeats live show. Inspired by this new platform and his experiences performing internationally, TREi is on the verge of elevating into an exciting new creative echelon.
Current projects include collaborations with The Upbeats, Concord Dawn, Chris SU, Dose and emerging talent Johnny Hooves. In tandem, TREi is also finalizing releases on Viper Recordings, Uprising Records and working towards his second album.
Focused on making nightclub ceilings drip with sweat; and writing the tunes that we all party to, TREi is laser-etching himself into the history books; and future proofing drum and bass in the process. Hold tight.
