August is Family History Month. Each week in Wellington there will be a number of events of interest to genealogists and others keen on New Zealand history and biography.
On Wednesday evenings in August, the NZ Society of Genealogists hosts a series of speakers with expertise in aspects of family history research and presentation. You can mix and mingle (and enjoy drinks and nibbles) from 5pm, with the speaker at 6pm.
On 24 August an expert panel gives advice on "Recording, organising and presenting your data".
On 31 August Judy Jones, visiting from FamilySearch, Utah, answers the question “Can archiving save space, money, your mind, and your marriage?”
Lectures held in Connolly Hall, Sacred Heart Cathedral.
