Beervana 2011

Beervana 2011 is going to be bigger and better than ever before. It is the must-visit expo for lovers of great beer. There is no other opportunity on the New Zealand calendar to sample more than 200 top-quality brews from 80+ breweries, meet the brewers, and learn about the art of brewing.

This year’s event will be a tour of New Zealand brewing with bars arranged as six regions - The North, Central, Wellington, Top of the South, Canterbury and Southern. There will also be a Real Ale bar, Festival Brew bar, Australia bar and Cider bar.

Martin Bosley joins Beervana this year as culinary director. The six NZ regional bars and the Real Ale bar will have an accompanying food station, featuring beer-loving Wellington restaurants Boulcott Street Bistro, Logan Brown, Martin Bosley's, Mosoon Poon, The General Practitioner, The Hop Garden, and Westpac Stadium Function Centre.

The seminar programme will feature some of our tried and true favourite sessions plus promises some exciting new features. We'll traverse the beer landscape from food and cheese matching, and women and beer, to hops and malt, and live brewing.

Five percent of takings at Beervana will be donated to the Christchurch Brewery Assistance Fund to help Canterbury breweries re-establish their businesses in the wake of the September and February earthquakes.
