Mind food:
“New Zealand: A Testing Ground for Leadership?”
Earthquakes, a mine disaster, a Super City and a Rugby World Cup – there have been no shortage of leadership challenges in this country over the past year for leaders to test their mettle. But how well have they and their followers responded? What more could have been done? Drawing on current thinking within the rapidly growing field of leadership studies, Professor Brad Jackson will critically assess the state of leadership within the country and make some bold suggestions regarding what might be done to improve it.

Professor Brad Jackson is the co-director of the New Zealand Leadership Institute at The University of Auckland Business School. He has spoken to academic and professional audiences throughout the world and has published seven books—Management Gurus and Management Fashions, The Hero Manager, Organisational Behaviour in New Zealand, A Very Short, Fairly Interesting and Reasonably Cheap Book About Studying Leadership, Demystifying Business Celebrity, The Sage Handbook of Leadership and Major Works in Leadership. Professor Jackson is on the executive of the International Leadership Association, an Associate editor of Leadership, a Fellow of The Leadership Trust and a Research Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management.
