The Central Band of the Royal New Zealand Air Force, in association with the Wellington City Council and conducted by Squadron Leader Owen Clarke, will perform the popular Air Force Proms concert.
The 65-member Central Band will return to the stage once again presenting a fabulous afternoon's entertainment, featuring actor Mark Hadlow, the champion New Zealand Pipe band, brilliant Christchurch violinist Fiona Pears, New Zealand soprano Deborah Wai Kapohe and YouTube sensation Matthew Mulholland.
The performance by New Zealand’s largest professional symphonic band will be packed with "something for everyone". It will be a spectacular occasion with bagpipes, guest vocalists and other solo performers, as well as the band’s brass, saxophones, woodwind and drummers.
The music performed will range from Proms classics and traditional to jazz and modern hits.
