Expressions Arts & Entertainment Centre in conjunction with the New Zealand Jazz Foundation and the New Zealand School of Music proudly presents 2011 New Zealand Youth Jazz Orchestra in Concert.
For the fourth year running the New Zealand Youth Jazz Orchestra will perform in concert at Expressions Arts & Entertainment Centre. This concert will be the first in a short New Zealand tour.
The 2011 Orchestra will:
- tour with renowned New York City trombonist and band leader John Fedchock
- be featured guests at the Southern Jam in Blenheim
- present a Wellington concert with Rodger Fox Wellington Jazz Orchestra
- be jointly directed by New Zealand School of Music faculty members, Rodger Fox and Dave Lisik
Selected by audition New Zealand wide, this exceptionally talented group of musicians including vocalists represents the of best New Zealand's 19 year old jazz musicians.
