The very best of Wellington's musical theatre voices. The Baroque is Pepe Becker. Direct from her season in Argentina, New Zealand's top Baroque soprano is bringing her unique, gentle, pure soprano voice to Upper Hutt in this final Voices For Christchurch Concert for 2011.
The Broadway is Wellington's finest musical theatre talent. Matthew Pike, internationally recognised vocalist and musician is well known to audiences right across the country. Currently in Jesus Christ Superstar in Invercargill, he recently toured the country in a leading role in Starlight Express, starred in Wellington in Miss Saigon, Cabaret, Whole Lotta Led and the Christchurch production of Miss Saigon and Sparks in the Park.
Chris Crowe is another nationally recognised talent who has delighted audiences in the 2010 season of Miss Saigon in Wellington, Dunedin, and Palmerston North. The other 25 artists, known from recent Wellington appearances include Ivy Padilla (Miss Saigon), and Jo Hodgson (Cats). "Beyond" includes musical comedian Matt Mulholland, winner of Best Local Show in Auckland and Wellington and Best Newcomer at the recent comedy festival with his show Beyond Emotion.
