Bid & Boogie to help unique Titirangi playgroup.

Experts in child psychology often say the first few years in a child’s life are the most important. In the bush-clad setting of Titirangi, some of the future leaders and decision-makers of our society are getting extra special treatment. The Rudolf Steiner Playgroup provides an holistic environment in a peaceful, nurturing and beautiful setting for children under four years of age.

The vital role of the parents and caregivers is also supported - and this August those parents are giving back.

Five days a week in a little round-roofed building, on the edge of the Steiner school grounds, parents, babies and toddlers meet to play in the sandpit, make buns, sing songs and play with handcrafted toys. The one thing that’s missing is a loo!

It’s a basic necessity, so the parents and supporters of the playgroup have taken on the massive task of raising just over forty thousand dollars to build a toilet, completing the little people’s space.

They’re calling it a unique night of art and entertainment - it’s an exclusive opportunity to bid on beautiful artworks by such artists as Dean Buchanan, Tracey Tawhiao, Daniel Blanshard, Neeltje Prior-Bollen and Mandy Patmore. Guests will also have a chance of winning some great prizes in our raffle, dine on a tasty supper, purchase drinks from the bar and then boogie on down to our fantastic bands.

It’s going to be an amazing night – community support that’s vital – helping Titirangi parents and caregivers nurture their young ones to become great adults.
