On Sunday 28th August 2011 the first ever Jerry Clayton BMW North Shore Marathon, Half Marathon, 5k and ChildFund NZ Kids Beach Run will take place in the heart of Auckland's North Shore - Takapuna.

The Jerry Clayton BMW North Shore Marathon is amazing value for money and on most occasions half the price of other Marathon events. We love running ourselves and feel that our entry price is very fair.

The course 'New Zealands most scenic Marathon and Half Marathon" will be based on a 21.1km circuit that will see participants head from Takapuna Beach to Milford Beach and return before making their way down to Devonport taking in beautiful Narrow Neck Beach and the amazing North Head before returning to Takapuna to complete the lap.

The Race Head Quarters will be based at Gould Reserve, Takapuna Beach and will be the centre of all the race activity. Participants will Start and Finish at Gould Reserve and will also pass through this area at the 6km, 21km and 27km, making it a great race for spectators and supporters who are within 100 meters of the cafes and restaurants that Takapuna is renowned for.

The North Shore Marathon is set to become the biggest and best annual event on the North Shore Calender with great community and business support.
