Books set to come alive at Storylines Family Day.

Children can join their favourite authors, illustrators and book characters this Sunday. The Storylines Festival was started 18 years ago by one of New Zealand's best known children's authors, Joy Cowley, to bring audiences together with local authors and foster a love of reading. This year's Storylines Festival has seen local authors and illustrators visiting school classes around the country.

Children and their families can listen to story readings with their favourite authors including Fifi Colston, Katz Cowley, Maria Gill and Malcolm Paterson, create art works with Youthtown, see plays based on their favourite books or make their own comic in the Comic Zone alongside talented cartoonists including Ant Sang (bro'Town) and Dylan Horrocks (Hicksville, Milo).
