Bach Musica NZ is pleased to present the fourth concert of the 2011 Subscription Series – ‘Jazz meets Classical’ featuring renowned Canadian jazz pianist, John Mackay.
Bach Musica NZ will be joining forces with John Mackay and his trio, which includes two of New Zealand’s finest jazz musicians – Kevin Haines on bass and Ron Samsom on drums, for an evening of Jazz meets Classical.
The group will be playing a wide variety of composers, including Bach, Brubeck, Piazzolla, Ellington, Shostakovich, Chopin and Mackay. The concert will give you a new appreciation of the similarities between the jazz and classical worlds and these wonderful composers, past and present.
