Eco Wars

Student City’s pitting flat against flat and friend against friend in an epic series of sustainability workshops designed to save your wallet and the world.

It’s the first competition of its kind to hit the mighty Manawatu and it’s set to take the student community by storm*. So, gather up your flatties and prepare to eco up your act with Eco Wars 2011!

Ten teams of four flatties (or three flatties and an extra if you’re running short) will go head to head in their quest to save precious coin in environmentally conscious ways. They’ll be provided with video cameras to document their eco adventures and showcase what they have learnt each week on an online blog.

Points will be collected, mysteries will be solved and big prizes will be won. Will you be part of the eco action?

You don’t have to be a card-carrying eco warrior to participate. You just have to be up for the challenge. Registrations open online Monday July 18th until Friday 5th August, with the Launch event on Wednesday 17th August and workshops commencing Wednesday 24th August.
