Good news for fans of bargain basement boogie: Storehouse return for more fiendish raking and scraping at the Wine Cellar, Auckland's bohemian HQ.
Fresh off the boat from operations in the UK and US, where they made taxi dispatchers weep and identical twins dance like robots, Storehouse have perfected a hybrid of blues, calypso and spirituals and toured internationally since 2003.
With no fixed arrangements and a commitment to improvisation and reinvention, Storehouse gigs are unique, eccentric and funky, and push the buttons for roots purists and bohemians alike.
