'Criminally talented' - The Herald, Glasgow

“If comedians are the new rock stars, then Arj Barker is stand-up’s Dave Grohl” - The Age, Melbourne

Best known for his role as ‘Dave’ from the HBO’s hit comedy Flight of the Concords show, Arj Barker makes his way to New Zealand for his very first regional tour. An hour of inventive fearless comedy, tackling the most controversial topics – 3D movies, death, Google Maps and prawns.

Recent host of the New Zealand International Comedy Gala, Barker’s list of appearances also include Letterman, Conan O’Brian, as well as starring in his own half hour special on HBO produced by Comedy Central. He is also regularly seen on Aussie based T.V. shows including Spicks & Specs, Rove!, and Thank God You’re Here.

Barker, who won the coveted Perrier Best Newcomer Award in 1997, has firmly established himself as one of the golden boys on the international comedy circuit. For years he has been honing his craft at comedy festivals all around the world performing numerous seasons at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival plus starred in Montreal's Just For Laughs Festival and Amsterdam's English Speaking Comedy Festival.

In 2010 Arj Barker was the highest selling act at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and now tours to sell-out theatre audiences.
